Y'all mind if I start a Substack real quick?

I’ve been stewing on starting a Substack for quite some time. I’m an avid reader, highly opinionated, and frankly desperate to fill my time with something more meaningful than doomscrolling.

I kept putting it off because I couldn’t land on a singular focus: My job? My personal life? Stylish strangers on the street? My favorite lip balm this week? The book that just changed my life?

Then I remembered: I have free will and a Notes app full of half-formed thoughts.

So, welcome to Third Drawer.

About Third Drawer

Everyone has a third drawer. It’s full of old birthday cards, expired lipstick, tangled mystery chords, love letters you can’t quite bring yourself to toss out, and other miscellaneous receipts from a younger version of yourself. It’s disorganized, yet strangely personal.

That’s what Third Drawer is: a collection of my disorganized thoughts I’ve been holding onto. Some about work, some about heartbreak, some otherwise. No niche. Just the stuff I don’t want to keep hidden away in the drawer anymore.

I’m Sophie Wood, a Director of Strategy at Fohr, an influencer marketing agency based in NYC. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader, hobbyist, pop-culture enthusiast, sober gal, and Addison Rae apologist.
